Today we had a lovely morning making our projects all arranged by Julia. She had arranged each person sat at a random table to encourage people to meet new people. I enjoyed talking to people I wouldn't have ordinarily have had much to do with. We had the WAI quilts Challenge presentation including the surprise viewers choice award made to Maree Schroder. I wish I had a photo of the look on her face. It was lovely to see the surprise! 
We were also able to present the cheque to the Hamilton Christian Night Shelter Trust with the proceeds to our raffle at the Hamilton craft & Quilt show. Thank you to all of the people that generously bought tickets and donated extra to help these people continue to do good work. I hope that the donation will be a help to their worthy cause help a few people.
Alison (our President) provided all of the lovely daffodils on the tables, wasn't it lovely to see Spring arrive!
We also had our "Suitcase sale day" it was lovely to part with some excess items to new homes, hoping to see some completed items shortly!

Well today a few of us ladies set up the WAI quilts exhibition. A big thank you goes out to those ladies who have been up ladders and hefting quilts around, typing, printing and emailing. I would also like to thank all of the ladies who put themselves out there and put forward their quilts to show. I know It is hard to face the unknown scrutiny of people in this way, so WELL DONE YOU. Without you we would not have our exhibition. Come and look at the wonderful work our guild members have produced.  I have post a few photos below.
