July meeting

Today we welcomed some ladies from ESOL to receive some of our wonderful charity quilts for their many refugee clients who are in desperate need of warmth.

This donation came about after a member suggested this organisation. It was nice to hear how these quilts will be gratefully received and a little about the situation these people are in when they arrive here. I didn't know that a refugee gets allocated to a country and may not even know where that country is. The photo above and below are all of the donations.

We also had Christine & David Sharp from Kids Quilts show off Christine and her daughters (sorry I didn't get her name) fabric ranges. It was fascinating for me to hear about how their process works and how mother and daughter complement each others strengths. I loved that the fabric designs were cute but had a modern edge to them.
