We arrived on Friday evening with our own dinner, then set up for sewing and found our rooms. After a brief welcome it was on to the Friday night challenge. We made a wool felt pear. The fabric was from recycled blankets dyed in onion skins.
On Saturday we were woken by the PA system being warmed up for the half iron man race, we also enjoyed a days rowing on the lake. Afternoon tea was enjoyed with our hats at a "high tea" with our donated old fashioned cakes and slices. Saturday night was our themed evening. We enjoyed some vintage recipes and our costumes for our vintage themed dinner. Sunday was a relaxing day enjoying the sun and views and finishing up our projects. The police sorted out our misdemeanors with random fines and we viewed the completed projects.
Thank you ladies for sharing a lovely relaxing weekend, thank you to the committee for organising a great weekend and Olivia for providing us with a vintage menu that we only had to wash the dishes for. Always a great reason for coming!
